FAQ

  • At what age do the puppies go home?

Puppies go home at 8 weeks old—never earlier. This ensures they’ve had proper time with mom and littermates for emotional and developmental growth.

  • What comes with my puppy when they go home?

Each puppy goes home with a cozy blanket that smells like their littermates (to comfort them in the transition) and a starter bag of the food their tummies are already used to.

  • Where are the puppies raised?

Right in our home—usually in the heart of our living room or backyard! They’re raised with constant love, socialization, and exposure to everyday life

  • Do you allow visits before pick-up?

Yes—we do allow visits for families with a deposit in place, usually when the puppies are around 5–6 weeks old. That said, we’re very careful about protecting our litters from illness, especially parvo, which can be deadly to young puppies. For that reason, we limit the number of visits and follow strict hygiene protocols including hand washing, shoe removal (or booties), and no contact with other animals beforehand. Thank you for helping us keep our puppies safe and healthy!

  • What kind of food do you feed the puppies?

We feed our puppies Purina Pro Plan Puppy, which is specifically formulated for large breed growth and sensitive stomachs.

  • Will the puppies be vaccinated?

Yes. Each puppy will receive age-appropriate vaccinations. Typically, this includes their first round of core vaccines (like Distemper, Adenovirus, Parvovirus, and Parainfluenza—also called the DHPP vaccine).

  • Will the puppies be crate trained?

We introduce crate training early on to help with transition, but continued consistency and training will be needed once they’re home.

  • Will the puppies be microchipped?

We offer microchipping upon request, at no extra cost. However, we note that chips can occasionally migrate as puppies grow, so we’re happy to work with your preference.

  • How do I get my puppy home?

Puppies are picked up from our home when they’re 8 weeks old. We love meeting each family in person! If you're not local, we’re happy to help coordinate alternative arrangements such as professional pet transport or flight nanny services (at the buyer’s expense). Just let us know what you need, and we’ll do our best to help.

  • Are the puppies potty trained?

We begin foundational potty training while they’re with us, but your puppy will need continued guidance and reinforcement in your home.

  • Can I meet the parents?

Absolutely. We love when families get to meet our mama dog, Ahsoka. She’s as sweet and gentle as they come. (If the sire is not on site, we’re happy to share info and photos.)

  • Do you offer a health guarantee?

Yes. All our puppies come with a written health guarantee and are vet-checked before going home.

  • Do you have a waitlist or deposit system?

Yes, we do! We accept a non-refundable deposit to reserve your spot on the waitlist once pregnancy is confirmed.

  • Are your dogs AKC registered?

Our Golden Retriever puppies come with limited AKC registration, as both parents are AKC registered. For our Goldendoodles and other doodle mixes, AKC registration is not available because doodles are not a recognized breed by the AKC. However, we still hold our breeding dogs to the same high standards of health, temperament, and care.

  • When do we choose our puppy?

We typically begin puppy picks between 6–7 weeks of age, after their personalities begin to show. We’ll guide you through the process to help match you with the right fit for your family.

  • Do you do Early Neurological Stimulation (ENS

Yes! We incorporate ENS and early socialization practices to help our puppies become more adaptable, resilient, and well-rounded.

  • What if something changes and I can’t keep the puppy?

We never want any of our puppies to end up in a shelter. If something unexpected happens, we ask that you reach out—we will help rehome the puppy or take them back, no questions asked.
